The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County loaned out nearly 14.8 million items in 2006, including books, movies and other information sources.
That was a 3.1 percent increase over 2005, the library said in its annual overview. Librarians also answered more than 1.7 million reference questions and issued 220,000 library cards, according to a news release.
