Known for housing the infamous prison Sing-Sing, the town of Ossining NY also has an active public library , and they’re proud to be among the first to host an online literary magazine, The Ossining Review of Books .
The first issue includes a list of Ben Cheever’s five favorite books set in Westchester County, N.Y. Only one (Bullet Park)is by his father, John, who lived in Ossining for many years, and who, in addition to creating his own body of work, spent time teaching writing to prison inmates.
