Professor’s novel set in community college library attic

Bucks County Community College (BCCC) English Professor Jim Freeman is donating the first-year royalties from his novel to a scholarship for low-income students named after a former student. “Parade of Days revolves around a band of homeless people living in the BCCC library attic and feasting on sandwiches stolen from the librarians’ lunchroom. They also hold secret book club meetings, using literature swiped from library shelves. Soon the squatters are discovered and jailed. After they’re released, the college’s head librarian helps them relocate their club meetings to the Wrightstown Library and they win a National Endowment for the Humanities grant.” The R-rated book is available from print-on-demand publisher Xlibris and the BCCC bookstore.
