“The discussion about where to build a new library in our city has gone on for well over 10 years, and I do not believe the current debate is in the interest of our community or its residents,” she wrote in a letter to the Downtown Business Association, after its members began to consider whether building the new library at 175 Parrott Ave. was the best course for the city.
