Patron Appreciation Day at Hampton Library

Hampton Falls (NH) held their first ever Patron Appreciation Day at their library last Tuesday, election day.

How does one appreciate their patrons you ask?

Mostly by feeding them (cider and other goodies), but they were also asked to fill out a survey of activities they would like to attend, and ‘vote’ on their favorite books. Activity choices included writing groups, movie discussion groups, parent-child book groups, feng shui, genealogy, investments, computer classes, crafts and musical events.

A mini voting booth was erected for children to cast their votes for a favorite book. Children’s Librarian Carol Sanborn felt it would be a close race as exit polls indicated a wide range of interests on the part of voters. Here’s the story from seacoast-online .
