Panel to weigh library payroll

Here’s Some Good News if you happen to work in Columbus,GA. A library-specific pay plan designed to bring some public library employees’ salaries — over a three-year period — more into line with what other comparable libraries pay will be considered by the Muscogee County Library Board’s Operations Committee at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

    How nice….
    How nice they are increasing salaries to be comparable to other libraries. Perhaps the next step would be to make the salaries of professionals with graduate degrees comparable to other professionals.

    Then perhaps they can reimburse staff the $80 they must spend to get a license to practice as a librarian in Georgia.

    Perhaps they should have given the money they gave the consultant to make a PowerPoint presentation to the library staff.
