The strike is already the second-longest in Vancouver’s civic history .The Globe and Mail reports that 800 library workers, on their first-ever walkout, are calling for the mediator’s proposed deal to be turned down. The deal would include raises for only about 300 of the striking librarians.
The results are expected to be known early this evening.Update: 10/10 12:19 GMT by B :Library workers rejected the proposal.
