NYT Contest Now Open to Both Academic & Public Librarians

This press release details changes in the New York Times Librarians Awards program in 2006. Previously, awards have gone only to librarians working in public libraries, but librarians in schools are now also to be honored–hurrah! Awards for public librarians are being accepted until September 15; nomination forms for the academic librarian awards will be available in September at participating college libraries and online here, or call (212) 556-4520.
