Isn’t registration a fair price to pay for …
free information?
I hate registration-only sites as much as anyone else, but I’m sad to see tools to defeat registration.
I think news sites, particularly ones with content not available elsewhere have a right to set conditions to access to their content. Better an intrusive registration than $4 an article. If you have privacy concerns, pay cash at a newsstand.
Sites that are requiring registration just to see AP articles available elsewhere will soon find requiring registration doesn’t make sense since no one will register.
