Niagara Falls Libraries To Stay Open… For Now

So-So News for residents of Niagara Falls where city leaders approved a plan Monday night that will keep their libraries open for the time being. But there’s growing fear it could lead to even greater financial problems.

Anello’s proposal called for scaled back hours at both city libraries to about 44 hours per week. The libraries are currently open 55 hours a week. According to library officials, if they’re not open at least 54 hours per week, they would lose hundreds of thousand of dollars in state and county aid.
