Steve Fesenmaier writes: “Madeline, the webmaster for the Sandy Berman website, has moved it from the University of Illinois to an independent server. It’s new address is SanfordBerman.org.
She has posted the streaming video of his 2003 Stone Lecture. More new items will be posted soon.

Response
Steve Fesenmaier has no affiliation with the
Sanford Berman website and has no right to
make any announcements regarding it.
I couldn’t have said it better.
Yeah, Steve, for the love of all that’s good and holy, you’re only allowed to talk about web sites you’re “affiliated with”! What are you, a librarian or something?! Jeez.
Re:Response
I do have an affiliation with the Sanford Berman website – I am a good friend of Sanford Berman and wrote the petition that was posted at New Pages that helped save his database. And have posted about 50 articles about Berman starting with my first LisNews story. I have often told LisNews about stories on other library websites, etc. I even had to tell the world that they could acquire the Berman database on CD-ROM. I think that library people should post their own stories…but if they are going to wait weeks, months, or even years to do so – anyone, including myself, has a write to post it. It is a disgrace that tons of new things Berman has done over the last few years have not been posted on his own website.
Re:Response
Golly, Alex Forrest, I hope Berman doesn’t own
a bunny =:O !
