Networking of technical libraries emphasised in India

The need for having an upgraded library system and a common library network for at least technical education in the state, a seminar was organised by the Association of Technical Education Libraries on Sunday. The seminar was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of Technical University, Prof Prem Vrat. The topic of discussion was ‘Information and Library Network’.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Vrat said, “The networking of technical education libraries is very important. If no initiative is taken soon, the traditional libraries will lead us nowhere.” This point was further emphasised by the Director, LBS institute of Management, Delhi, RL Raina.
