Mold Found in Las Vegas School Library

Three types of mold, including the particularly nasty black mold, were found on the walls of a Las Vegas school library. The mold has been removed, but the school is waiting on air quality tests to determine if it’s safe to open the library. More here.

    They’ll never get all the mold out. Never. They should just rebuild. We have a handful of schools in our board who have mold problems, have had for years. They keep “fixing” them but it never takes. One of the two buildings I worked at prior to being in my current school, had one classroom that when it rained and the wind was from the north, it would flood. Mostly close to the windows but you’d still end up with water on the floor. Air quality tests were done in that room and they claimed there was no mold but I mean if the floor was getting wet????

    Both buildings I used to work in have now been torn down to make way for newer buildings. The sad/scary thing is that both the “old” buildings were around 40 years old (built in the late 50s).
