It wouldn’t be the first time the Bible was censored.
But it is probably the first time that the Bible has been published serially, in a sort of magazine format, with somewhat sexually explicit pictures. Then there was the homoerotica…
Yeah, it should surprise no one that this didn’t work out too well in the “land of the free.”
Censored?
Edited perhaps but not censored. The government did not say you may not publish this, or you may not sell this. The publishers decided it probably would not sell so they edited it.
It probably still will not sell.

Not a Profile in Courage
Once again, the Holy Bible is used for selfish and crass political purposes. Boring.
What would really be an interesting idea would be for the Swedish publishers to do a similar work with the Holy Koran.
Unlike sacriligious attacks on the Bible, which are often met with outrage but seldom with violence, the author would be able to really push the bands of censorship by being un-politically correct and attacking Islam.
Sigh. There are no heroes in Sweden any more.
R. Lee Hadden (These are my own opinions!)
Where would the put..
Where would they put the heads? You know the ones that will surely roll, both metaphorically and actually?
Please you know the Koran is a holy book, the bible it is just nonsense.
Koran
Well, if you believe that a book that was designed by man and not by God is a holy book, I pray for your soul.
The accuracy of what you say is “The Bible” ( of course you used lower text to degrade ) is beyond accurate. Prove to yourself that this book is not the word of God, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. I can prove that your Koran was written by a man that does not believe in anything but himself and what he wishes others would do to each other.
The Bible was written by man through the power of God, quite different than your Koran that does not depick the nature of God only what is derived by man.
I believe in a close relationship to the Son of God “Jesus” to the creator of the Universe and this relationship is pure in nature, not believing in an Idol, like the Catholic’s symbol of Christ on the Cross and praying to Mary – mother of Jesus or that you have to speak to a Priest to have sins forgiven. Look at the amount of predictions before the birth of Christ. Over 300 predictions in all. The odds of only 8 of the 300 coming true cause a dollar coin to fill the state of Texas 4 feet high. put a red dot on one of the coins, throw it somewhere, blindfold a person and ask for that person to pick that one coin.
With the Birth of Christ all 300 predictions were 150 to 700 years before they happened and all became true and exact. The predictions of the end times in Daniel and Revelation indicate what is to come. Predictions of the Koran is even told and unbelievers like yourself. The problem is once you have read this message according to “The Bible” you now have been told and are subject to knowing that The Son of God is Christ who died for no reason other than to save there soul.
You believe in a God from the Koran, are you sure that he is the same God that created this Universe. Are you sure that the Universe came from the Big Bang, then who created the Bang. It just didn’t happen on its own.

By what you say you prove yourself ignorant and gullible.
By how you say it you prove yourself stupid.
Congratulations.
Everyone
Who beleives one scripture or another, can claim they can “prove” theirs was written by God, but the other was written by men.
There is little evidence that the bible was not written by men, and a lot of evidence that a lot of it was written by various priests centuries and even a millenia or more after the events that it reputed to tell occured.
The elements in the bible which claim that Christs birth met the predictions made in the Old Testement are well known to have been written after Christ lived, and so the phenomenon of “postdiction” is something that must be considered. That is, that Christ’s biography was written to fit the facts, and not written before the facts occured.
That is to say, if someone had written a biography of Christ as his life was proceding, as occurs today, and the predictions had been written down in the gospel BEFORE the facts, and not afterwards, there would be some basis for stating that Christ met the conditions set forth in the Old Testement, which were also not written where and when they internally assert.
It is really not up to those who do not beleive it to prove that it is NOT what it says it is, but it is up to those who believe it to prove it is true.
For example, there is no historical evidence that King David as described in the Bible ever lived. Nor is their evidence that King Solomon did either. The only evidence that exists is for the grandsons of the man who would have been called “Solomon”. And that evidence is scare. The earliest evidence we have for anything in the bible that corresponds to history is the return of the Jews from Babylon, when they are allowed to rebuild their temple. And the sudden and mysterious finding of what was reputed to be the Torah among the ruins of the ancient Temple that the Jews were allowed to rebuild. The evidence points to any biblical texts asserted to have been written before that time were actually written at that time for a political and religious purpose. But nothing in the old testement that occured before about 500 BCE can be proven to be factual.
Same thing with the New Testement. Nothing of them that is supposedly “predictive” can be dated before the events they claim to be predicting. That is, Jesus’ “prediction” of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem cannot be dated before the actual destruction of the Temple. That is to say, statements the he predicted this were not written until after the fact.
You can have your faith in this thing, but there is little evidence historically to back it up. One can say the same about the Quran, except we know when it was written and who it was written by.
Mark
Dear Mark,
I just read your letter. I thought your Gospel kind of sucked. Are you friends with Luke or John. I’m like their biggest fan.
Yes its obvious Mark has never read the Quran either
If he had, he would find that the book mentions Jesus and Mary more than any one else, and the stories of the biblical prophets like Moses and Isaiah are virtually the same as those in the bible.
Grammer?
Grammer?
Did you mean “grammar”?
Speaking of looking stupid. Dohhh!
