Following up last months LISNews story about the library director in Beverly MA , Director Thomas Scully has now resigned his post amid allegations of sexual assault and distribution of pornography, to which he has pleaded “not guilty”.
In a statement, he said he decided to retire for the good of the library. He said it would have been difficult for the city to effectively manage the library while also paying his $69,000-a-year salary while he was on suspension. Story from local TV news.
