Louisiana town to get its first public library branch

A groundbreaking ceremony for the much-anticipated Sterlington Memorial Library branch was held earlier this month, drawing a crowd of about 60 town residents and officials. Dianne Doolittle of Sterlington has a particular reason she’s excited about her town getting its first public library branch. The craftsman style is similar to the prairie style sometimes used by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright and will feature an open floor plan and the inclusion of warm, natural materials, such as stone and stained woods.
