Lively Debate as Justices Address File Sharing

Grok
There is a literary reference to the Grokster file trading service. Grok was coined by Robert Heinlein in the book Stranger in a Strange Land. Grok means to understand profoundly. If you Grok something you “truly get it.” Hopefully the justices can Grok this case.

Okay I delve into being a geek here and openly, but Grok means so much more than mere profound understanding. To grok is to know something/someone down to the cellular level, understanding and accepting its needs, desires, and wants all the while not judging or attempting to categorize.

And that definition is still poor 🙂

Speaking of Heinlein
On the subject of Heinlein I wanted to recommend another of his books. The Heinlein work that I like better than “Stranger in a Strange Land” is The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. This book is one of my all time favorite reads.
