Library without a Board or Director

Jenne writes “Fairbury, Nebraska is without a library board after all of the members resigned Monday. Last week, the board fired the director of the library. They claim interference by the mayor and City Council.”

    The busy, busy librarian
    I googled her. My, she is a busy lady; but I’m surprised to learn librarians are on the clock. There must be more to this story.

    Just a thought. I read an article on profanity yesterday. Is saying “My” just a trucation for “My God?”

    What library director is on a time card, I kind of like the idea though so they can pay overtime!

    I too googled Ms. Graybill, they must have really strong coffee in Nebraska for her to stay that busy. I have 2 cats and I take as many naps as they do. I can’t imagine doing all the volunteer work, professional work and feeding the dogs and remaining awake for the drive home.

    Looking at the résumé on her site, the city will be hard pressed to replace her. On the other hand I hope she enjoys her time off because she will have no trouble finding a new job. Good luck Alicia!
