Library to rule on computer porn filters

“The board of the Ottawa Public Library will finally decide tonight whether it wants anti-pornography filters on library computers.”

“The library’s board, which has been kicking around the question for the last year and a half, will vote on whether to continue filtering only some children’s computers or to beef up filtration to ensure that no child can access pornography.”

“Ottawa Councillor Rick Chiarelli, the board’s chairman, has proposed a plan to install a card-swipe system that would differentiate between children and adults.” (from The Ottowa Citizen)
