Anonymous Patron writes “Here’s A Fun One. Shooting marshmallows at a pretend hunter is just one of the activities planned for women who attend a special event designed for deer hunting widows at the La Crosse, Wisconsin, Public Library on Friday. The free event also will include 15 vendors who will provide demonstrations on everything from massage to scrap-booking to Jazzercise.
Local women will feature Avon products, baskets, kitchen supplies and painting techniques.”

I have to say this is a pretty humorous story. I have always wondered what the wives do when the husbands go out to hunt 10 point bucks. I am glad to see it is nothing inappropriate.
Maybe this sort of thing can catch on, where we a sort of espirit de corps among spouses left behind by their deer hunting loved ones.
