    What technology?
It is true that the main attraction of the library is books. Few people go to libraries for state-of-the-art technology. Libraries don’t have much technology to boast about, thanks largely to financial constraints and funding cuts. And also due to library system deficiencies. Just look at the OPACs. No multi-media, no multi-languages! Many people probably already have better at home. Books will continue to be important sources of information. However, it is important to remember that there are alternative sources of information (e.g. internet) other than books, which can’t be ignored but have to be catered for.
