Would someone take a moment and explain to me what this person does that the library board feels the need to pay him $100,000 to keep the job he already holds? In this job market, is there a huge demand for library directors to the point where there\’s any danger he would uproot his family and leave a soft job that pays $138,500 a year?\”

The $100,000 bonus in question might be better directed to bringing in good technical people to keep the computer network online. On three of four recent visits, I\’ve found the computers unavailable. I don\’t understand why a simple peer-to-peer network like the library system uses is down so often.
If Hawk does decide to leave, let me be the first to apply for his job. I can sit in an office, drink coffee, sign papers and tell my secretary to do everything for me as well as anybody else can.
