Library denies censor charges

More Library News From Georgia, where lawyers for the publisher of a newspaper dealing with gay issues told a federal appeals court Friday the Vidalia Public Library is practicing censorship against The Gay Guardian, a bimonthly publication based in southeast Georgia.

Cathy Harris Helms, representing the Ohoopee Regional Library System, said the table’s original purpose was to display information about the library’s summer reading program and other library initiatives.
