Libraries still face trouble after Ivan

Cayman Net News – grand cayman,Cayman Islands Reports Having received severe damage from Hurricane Ivan, some of the country’s public libraries are still not fully functioning.

However, with repairs expected to be completed in early June, the East End and George Town public libraries are scheduled to reopen soon, the Minister of Education told the Finance Committee this week.

Construction on the public library in Bodden Town is to start once the tendering process is complete and the library, which will include a new activity/literacy centre and is estimated to cost $651,542, will take five months to complete after the award of the construction contract.
