Librarians Convene in Boston

Here’s An NPR Report on PLA from a few days ago. Thousands of librarians from across the nation are gathered in Boston this week for the Public Library Association’s annual convention. They’ll discuss among other topics, how to more aggressively market their libraries, and keep people coming in the door, in an era when Internet research is easily done from the comfort of home.

Bob Oakes speaks with Dan Walters, the president of the Public Library Association. We asked him whether libraries are becoming more creative in their bid to attract patrons.
