Librarian wins tight MI Senate race

Anonymous Patron writes Battle Creek Enquirer: Elizabeth Fulton won the Republican primary Tuesday in the state Senate District 19.

With 134 of 139 precincts reporting in both Calhoun and Jackson counties, Fulton led opponent Al Cavasin 8,683 to 7,086.

Fulton, a 44-year-old Battle Creek Public Schools librarian and co-owner of the Battle Creek-based Southside Sportsman Club, was leading the race but wasn’t ready to declare a victory late Tuesday.”
