All funds raised will go to the victims including the McDowell County Public Library which was almost destroyed by the flooding. On October 10th, in Charleston, WV, at the WVSC CAPITOL THEATER, two world premieres will be held.

The first, FLOOD STORIES by WV\’s leading independent doc filmmaker Robert Gates, is about flood damage just this summer. The next world premiere will be MOUNTAIN MEMORIES by Ray Schmitt about WV\’s nature photographer Jim Clark. Other films are Appalshop\’s newest, COAL BUCKET OUTLAW, and their early documentary, BUFFALO CREEK FLOOD – AN ACT OF MAN (1975). They will also show recent TV stories about the devastation including the Bill Moyers NOW story on the flooding.
