Josh Kantor plays for the Boston Red Sox, but never gets up to bat.
Herald Media/Boston Herald reports on how Kantor, a reference librarian at the Harvard Law School Library, is now in his second season, but is slowly being usurped by a massive selection of computer generated CDs, including Phish, Jay-Z, Thin Lizzy, and the Standells.
“It’s a different era now” says Kantor, who does enjoy playing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” to welcome the crowd. “If it was up to me I would probably play a little bit more,” he admits. “But it’s not up to me so I don’t worry about it. I still get to play and come to the ballpark.”
