First Lady Laura Bush will be stumping for summer reading later this week in Portsmouth NH. The Portsmouth
Herald reports on Mrs. Bush’s visit to the library which had never been visited by a current resident of the White House.
Library Director Mary Ann List said White House staffers recently contacted the library to schedule the visit this coming Friday, July 9. The Portsmouth School system is a participant in the No Child Left Behind Program, a Bush initiative.
