In an encouraging display of civic awareness, about 150 people attended a meeting at the Kalamazoo (MI) Library to express concern about the Patriot Act. The group who organized the public meeting calls itself the Task Force for the Defense of the Bill of Rights and is working with the city to craft a resolution that outlaws voluntary compliance with Act.
