About a dozen audience members stared in disbelief as the Jackson-Madison County Library Board decided Wednesday to enter contract negotiations for library management with private bidder Library Systems and Services LLC .
The vote surprised those at the meeting because board members recently had said they would not take action toward privatizing library management until after a court has heard an appeal by Madison County. The county has questioned whether the board has the power to outsource library management; The Jackson Sun has the story.
I wonder ….
I wonder how they run libraries when I don’t see that they hire librarians. Technicians and Aides, but no librarians on their site. Of course monkeys could do a better job managing most libraries I’ve seen compared to their entrenched administrations.
MLS requirement
Many of the jobs posted require MLS degrees.
Re:MLS requirement

Re:I entrenched administrations….
