It’s Coming Up Next Week…

National Library Week that is. April 12-18, 2009. Here’s what a few libraries around the country are planning:

  • The Brewster (MA) Ladies Library is holding an Amnesty Day for all patrons with overdue fines on Wednesday, April 15.
  • Same thing at the Delphos (OH) Library
  • Iowa’s Senator Chuck Grassley tells us why we should all value libraries
  • Famous New Jerseyans will be celebrated at the Hackettstown Free Library
  • The Vail (CO) Library is celebrating with puppet shows
  • It’s ‘Books into Movies’ at the Springfield (IL) Lincoln Library

    I’m sure we’ll hear lots more as the fifty-first annual week approaches. What is your library doing?

      Free video rentals.
      We hit folks with 75c rental charges. We’re doing some themed programming as well, but the average patron is going to be here for the free movies. 🙂
