Is it paranoia if they’re really out to get you?

Daniel writes “FBI watched anti-convention Web sites
Pulled From The Seattle Times:

“Responding to the lawsuit filed in May in U.S. District Court in Washington, the FBI said it had identified 1,173 pages of records relating to the ACLU and an additional 2,383 pages relating to Greenpeace.”

An argument can be made that Greenpeace, while nonviolent, has a history of lawbreaking. But why does the government need 1,173 pages worth of surveillence on the ACLU?

The article implies other organizations also have bulging files. Maybe ALA should file their own suit to find out what’s being written about them.”
