Anonymous Patron writes “Odd One From The Belfast (UK) Telegraph where Staff and members of the North-Eastern Education Board have spoken of being verbally abused by angry members of the public protesting at a proposal to close a third of libraries in the area.
The revelation came as the board agreed yesterday to adopt a recommendation from their library committee to put out to consultation the proposal to shut twelve out of 37 libraries.”
Well..
not too much ire in the Republic of Ireland, but the folks up north seem pretty steamed about the library closures. Can’t say that I blame them, but taking it out on the staff is uncalled for.
Now taking it out on the library board, that is a different matter. The made the decision, they should hear the comments from their constituents. If ya can’t stand the heat get outta the kitchen.
Now about Ireland (the Republic of Ireland not the part the UK mucks about in) it snowed in Dublin today! See it here.
