Machine of Death: A collection of stories about people who know how they will die on Amazon
Worldcat
Not surprised but the ISBN for the book on Worldcat brings back nothing.
I’ve seen this mentioned on various webcomics recently
Just a pity it’s not available on the UK Amazon.
Blog post about book and libraries
This blog entry talks about libraries and the book “Machine of Death”. It also makes mention of the Glenn Beck / Machine of Death controversy

I bought one
I just bought a copy. Trying to help them keep the book in the top 10 and beat out the George W and Glenn Beck book. Plus Amazon lowered the price because it is in the top 10. The book started out a $20 but was lowered to $9.87 when it made the top ten. Price will go back up as the book loses sales rank.
It happened
The price did just what I warned about. The sales rank has fallen to #20 so the price has gone up. The book is now $17.95. Glad I picked up my copy for $9.95.
Randall “xkcd” Munroe
Randall Munroe wrote one of the stories in the book. xkcd is a cool web comic done by Munroe. You can see the comic here: http://xkcd.com/
There are hundred of xkcd comics at the site. Take a look at a few and I think you will find some you like.
Here is one I like: http://xkcd.com/795/
