In a move aimed at giving a fillip to the library movement in the State, the Government has decided to spruce up 600 registered public libraries in the block, sub-division and district levels.
Lack of infrastructure and financial constraints have left hundreds of libraries nonfunctional. The legislators and people’s representatives have been entrusted to identify such libraries and prepare a list for financial assistance.
