Cat baths
BATHING YOUR CAT:
1. Thoroughly clean the toilet.
2. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet water, and have both lids lifted.
3. Obtain the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
4. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids (you may need to stand on the lid so that he cannot escape).
CAUTION: Do not get any part of your body too close to the edge, as his paws will be reaching out for any purchase they
can find.
5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a “power-wash and rinse” cycle which I have found to be quite effective.
6. Have someone open the door to the outside and ensure that there are no people between the toilet and the outside door.
7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.
8. The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet, and run outside where he will dry himself.

Humans can’t TRAIN or TEACH a cat to do anything… They know everything and they can do everything.
They train us and are probably very amused when we forget that. ^^

My two cats are leash trained, both going for a walk or tied to the house. It’s too dangerous where we live to let them roam free.
My older cat taught himself how to catch treats in his paws or mouth. (Sometimes catches them in his paws then brings his paws to his mouth. cute) My younger cat now does this–I assume he learned it from watching his “brother”. Both can catch cat treats in their mouths. Honest! People at work don’t believe me.
We just got a new lazy-boy type recliner and my younger cat is running and jumping on the back of it, trying to get it to recline. Our old recliner, the back went down fairly easily–he’d jump up on it and let it go back slowly…Many were the days we’d come home to find the back of the chair down. He hasn’t quite given up on the new chair; it’s funny to watch him because he’s almost fallen off the back a couple times, he jumps on it so hard.

There’s also an old Far Side cartoon, with a cat taking a shower. Kitty is standing in the bathtub, and there’s a huge tongue sticking out of the wall above it.
