Homeless Arizona students get their own library

From AZ Central: “This is like a dream come true,” said David Bridger, executive director of the Maricopa County Schoolhouse Foundation, which raises money for the three Pappas schools – two in Phoenix, one in Tempe.

Before now, there had been a library of sorts for the students in kindergarten through fifth grade, but it often moved from place to place, depending on what classrooms were needed. Once, it was even set up in the auditorium.

“We’ve been waiting for a real library with full services,” Bridger said.

Now there are two computers and bulletin boards covered with pictures and information about dinosaurs and space.
