‘Heart Library’ Shocks New Zealand

Anxious New Zealanders have reacted with shock and disbelief to an admission that a top hospital collected more than 1,300 babies\’ and children\’s hearts over the past 50 years mostly without parental consent.

The Green Lane Hospital in Auckland said it stored the organs – many sent by other hospitals – for research purposes in its \”heart library\” facility.
