Beginning March 8, University of Hawai’i at Manoa’s Hamilton Library will be open for 24 hours on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The new trial period, called the 24/3 Pilot Project, is designed for the library administration to find the best hours and uses of the library by students to better accommodate them in the future. Story here from Ka Leo Hawaii The schedule will apply through May, when administrators will evaluate how it’s working.
24 hours access!
this should be part of the ultimate goal for those who are fighting for/pushing for accessibility. i know for the majority of libraries this is an impossibility right now, but this should be an important goal. go hawai’i!
