How much more privacy, how much more freedom are we to loose for the sake of that small yet much quoted increase in security?

Big Brother aspects aside…the “poke in the eye” here is the universities and colleges have to pay for it themselves which will of course be reflected in fee hikes….ouch !

Oddly a great deal. People at the NFL stadium in Tampa near where I live will subject themselves to unwarranted bodily searches just to watch a game.
Not me, thanks. If I am required to exceed what I consider reasonable I simply will not participate. I’ll not submit to a pat down at the stadium, but I will go through the metal detector at the airport. It is all a matter of reasonableness. People hijack planes, no one clad in a t-shirt and shorts has ever blown up a stadium full of people.

Or is it; they need to do it if they wish to keep getting Federal money?
At some point, the extra BS ought to out-weigh the money being given, and someone should start non-Federalized learning institutions for cut-rates.
