Anonymous Patron writes “cbs2chicago.com: Police have concluded that a fire that destroyed several books at a public library in the East Lakeview neighborhood was the result of arson, but are not presently calling it a hate crime.
The fire broke out a week ago at the John Merlo Branch Library, at 644 W. Belmont Ave., and most of the books destroyed were gay and lesbian-oriented.”
