Comfort Station crowd said to be flocking to library

An Anonymous Patron writes This Story On the recent closing of the Comfort Station, which for years served as the city’s (Taunton, MA) downtown public restroom, has turned the public library on Pleasant Street into a popular haven for several “displaced individuals,” including two registered, Level-3 sex offenders, according to the library’s director.

“It is no understatement to say our clientele are posing a challenge to us and patrons are expressing concerns about their safety,” said director Susanne Costa Duquette in a letter to the City Council and Mayor Robert G. Nunes.”
