Anonymous Patron writes “Some Interesting News our of Milwaukee, Wiconsin, where The Wauwatosa Public Library is taking preliminary steps toward leaving the Milwaukee County Federated Library System.
Such a split would be a first in the 30-year history of Wisconsin’s federated library systems, according to the state.
The Milwaukee County federation is working on a proposal to subsidize the reciprocal borrowing payments in an effort to keep the system intact. But the four communities are hedging their bets in case that falls through.”
