Charges dismissed against woman accused of trying to kidnap kids at library

Strange one from Salt Lake Tribune: Declaring it a case of mistaken identity, prosecutors have dismissed charges against a woman arrested more than four months ago for allegedly trying to kidnap two children from the Salt Lake City Main Library.
Terryette Woods, 52, was charged in 3rd District Court with two counts of first-degree child kidnapping following the June 20 incident involving an 8-year-old girl and her 5-year-old sister.
But the charges – punishable by up to life in prison – were dismissed last week after investigators determined Woods did not match a person caught on library surveillance video.
