Here’s the follow-up to a story last month about a bookseller, Joe Gordon, fired from Waterstone’s Books (having referred to his employer as “Bastardstone’s” in his blog).
He has been hired by the competition, Forbidden Planet, to head-up on-line sales and create a blog for the comic book chain. Says Gordon, “I was headhunted by them really – just from information they found out about me from my blog”, the Woolamaloo Gazette, which he said he would be continuing.
“My new employers are aware of it and they’re quite happy for me to keep doing it. However, I will be more careful what I say in the future. I think I’ve learnt my lesson on that.” Story from The Scotsman .
