Authors enjoying ‘enormous’ sales boost from Da Vinci Code case

The Times Online Reports Two historians who have accused Dan Brown, the bestselling author, of stealing their ideas for his novel The Da Vinci Code have themselves enjoyed a dramatic boost in sales since the copyright hearing began in the High Court last week.
But while Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh’s non-fiction work The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail — published in 1982 — may not have captured the popular imagination to anywhere near the same extent, it has experienced an “enormous jump” in sales in the past week, according to one industry observer.
