Author Patricia Cornwell Sues Cyber-Stalker

Publishing has become a merciless industry these days.

Crime author Patricia Cornwell responded to ‘cyber-stalking’ by insisting on enforcement of a 2000 injunction against author Leslie R. Sachs who began writing on his Web site (which one of our readers has tracked down, thanks SarahL) that one of her novels, “The Last Precinct,” had a plot much like the one in his “The Virginia Ghost Murders.”

She has asked the court to force him to stop writing “defamatory and contemptuous” material about her on the Internet, including calling her racist and claiming she stole part of his novel. Washington Post reports.
