Lisa writes “From the Associated Press:
Ashcroft is upset that the “law has become a political punching bag for the Democratic presidential candidates and other top party members” and is campaigning better educate the public.”
“If we knew then what we know now, we would have passed the Patriot Act six months before Sept. 11 rather than six weeks after the attacks,” he said. ” … The cause we have chosen is just. The course we have chosen is constitutional.”
Nice Source for “Support Of The People”….
FOX News polls. The same people who think USPA is great also think they are millionaires and that Saddam Hussein blew up the WTC. Our taxes pay for this “research?”
What’s next? “Ask Pat Riot”?
I can’t wait to see the next step in this PR
campaign. An advice column, “Ask Pat Riot”?
“Dear Pat Riot: I think terrorists may be hiding
in my library stacks. What should I do?”
[I can’t come up with a good answer, but someone :-)]
else is welcome try
Poor Ashcroft
Poor John Ashcroft. Voicing the fact that he thinks he could have gotten such an egregious piece of legislation into effect six months before 9/11 shows what a delusional world he lives in. No way Congress would have done that without the attack.
