It’s a good bet that e-mail and digital photos will reveal a more candid look at the way we live than handwritten letters and the posed shots of traditional film cameras. And there should be no dearth of material to study.
In fact, could there be too much of it? When it’s time for historians to make sense of it, how will they sort it all out and find their way to the good stuff? Some archivists worry that the ease with which we correspond with each other and document our lives will lead to a glut of information.
